NEEAN was established in 1995 by a group of higher education professionals
interested in creating a regional network to support the exchange
of ideas related to assessment. The founding of NEEAN was featured in Assessment Update, March-April 1998, Volume 10, Number 2, p.4
The NEEAN Board of Directors comprises faculty and administrators from Colleges and Universities throughout New England. The current term runs from May 1, 2005 - April 30, 2007.
